We are holding our Winter Dressage Series over the next 3 months, February, March and April.  Those that gain 60% or over in any of the tests, qualify for the Championships in April.  The Championships will be split into qualifiers and non-qualifiers so anyone can still attend, and all dressage classes will be split into Juniors (under 16), and Seniors.

The dressage will be scheduled for the morning with show jumping in the afternoon so you can choose if you want to make it a Combined Training event and combine the dressage and show jumping for overall scores, or you can choose to enter the show jumping or dressage classes individually.  Should be something for everyone!

Winter Dressage Classes:-

26^th February - Class 1 Walk & Trot B 2009, Class 2 Prelim 4 2002, Class 3 Novice 24 2010

25^th March - Class 1 Walk & Trot A 2008, Class 2 Prelim 7 2002, Class 3 Novice 27 2007

29^th April Championships - Class 1 Walk & Trot B 2009, Class 2 Prelim 14 2008, Class 3 Novice 30, 2006

Combined Training Classes:-

Class 4 - Walk & Trot Class combined with Show Jumping at 2ft

Class 5 – Prelim Class combined with Show Jumping at 2ft 3”

Class 6 – Novice Class combined with Show Jumping at 2ft 6”

Further jumping classes will be provided if requested.

Parking - Due to our limited trailer/lorry parking over the winter months, the competition will be open to mainly those that can hack to us so we won't be doing mass advertising for the event.  Classes will be limited to approx 15 so we hope there won't be too much hanging around in between classes.   

Warm Up - depending on the weather, warm up may be done in one of our fields or, if ground too wet, time will be given at the beginning of each class for people to go into the arena.  Additionally, each competitor will also be given 3 mins warm up time before the judge rings the bell to start their test.

Closing Date - by the Wednesday before the event.  Times will be available on the Thursday before each event between 7pm and 9pm on 0780 170 8606. 

Entries - Please send details of horse and rider, which classes you wish to enter and a cheque payable to Banwell Equestrian Centre at the address below.  Please also state how you will get to us so we can cater for trailers/lorries etc.

Cost – to enter dressage classes £7.00.  Combined training classes £10.  Show Jumping classes £6.00.

Light refreshments will be available on the day.
