About Us

Ruth has over 25 years experience with horses, having fallen in love with them at the age of 9.  She has had her own horses over the years and has competed successfully at Show Jumping and Dressage at Novice Level.  Being particularly keen on cross-country competing she has participated in numerous Hunter Trials and One Day Events and competed at BE Pre-Novice Level.  Ruth is happy to compete horses for their owners if requested.

Steve is passionate about the outdoors, working with young people at nearby Goblin Combe Environment Centre. He aims to make all operations on the yard respectful of the wildlife and ecology of this sensitive area which has been designated a Greater Horseshoe Bat Conservation Area.

Ruth's professional organisational background will ensure the yard is run like clockwork and horses cared for in the best way possible.  Both Ruth and Steve have outgoing personalities with a great sense of fun which will make sure the yard maintains a friendly atmosphere whilst providing a quality service.

Added to Ruth's personal experience, she also has the following British Horse Society qualifications :- Horse Owners Certificate to Stage 3 and Riding and Care to Stage 2.  Ruth is also a qualified riding instructor having gained her Preliminary Teaching Test Certificate.
